First Building in New York’s Hudson Yards Structurally Tops Out
10 Hudson Yards has officially structurally topped out. However, more work needs to be accomplished before the 52-story commercial building reaches its full height of 268 meters. The angular glass building will be home to major tenants like Coach, L'Oréal USA, SAP, and social media agency VaynerMedia.
Proposed 67-Floor All-Residential Tower Would be Tallest in London
Chinese developer Greenland Group has submitted plans to build a 67-floor residential skyscraper at the western end of the north dock in Canary Wharf. The redevelopment of Hertsmere House at West India Quay will deliver 869 flats within a 241-meter-tall building, designed by architect HOK.
Proposed Dubai Tower Complex Would Feature an Artificial Rainforest
Dubai is set to get a new tower on Sheikh Zayed Road that will have an artificial beach and a rainforest-like landscape development on top of the tower's podium. Located in Al Thanyah First, The Rosemont Hotel & Residences is coming up on approximately 13,000 square meters of land, said ZAS Group.
Singaporean Developer Enters Australian Market
Singaporean developer Tong Eng Group is seeking approval for a high-rise residential tower in Melbourne, which would be the developer’s first project in Australia. The proposed building is subject to a planning application which would retain the original façade of the current heritage building on-site.
Hill International Named Project Manager for Baku Tower
Hill International announced that it has received a contract from Azvil Tikinti MMC to provide project management consulting services during construction of the Baku Tower located in Baku, Azerbaijan. The 49-story tower will be the tallest building in Azerbaijan when completed.
Construction Begins on the Thu Thiem Development in Ho Chi Minh City
The first of the mega-developments planned for Thu Thiem in Ho Chi Minh City broke ground, signaling the peninsula’s evolution from swampland to modern urban center. Empire City, a 14.5-hectare area next to the mouth of the Thu Thiem tunnel, is set to include several infrastructure projects.
