Final cladding panel to be put on Burj Dubai within weeks
Construction work on Burj Dubai is nearing completion as the final cladding panel is to be placed within weeks. The tower consists of 24,348 glass, aluminum and steel panels. Arabian Aluminum Company started work on the exterior cladding of Burj Dubai in April 2007 and is now entering the final phase with the manufacture...more
World's Tallest Wooden Building Planned for Norway
The Norwegian Barents Secretariat have announced plans for a new cultural center that is being touted as the world's tallest wooden building. The new tower will be located in Kirkenes, Norway and will be 16-17 stories tall and constructed from natural materials with innovative and environmental solutions in all parts of the building...more

As Goldman Sachs continues to keep the details of its New Headquarters Building near Ground Zero under wraps, there is no denying what the eyes can see. Work to resume on Arthur Erickson-designed Vancouver high-rise
Construction of an Erickson-designed luxury hotel and condo project is set to resume after the developer re-jigged the plans. It was originally developed as the Ritz-Carlton Vancouver, but excavation work on the $500 million twisting tower was halted in October 2008. UK architecture firm Make have secured planning permission for their twin tower scheme. The 35- and 29-storey residential towers rise above, a restaurant occupying the ground floor, to a maximum height of 120 meters.
